T.J. McCallum, Ph.D. is an associate professor in the department of Psychological Sciences at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. He is a member of the clinical area, serves as a faculty associate with the University Center for Aging and Health, and is a member of the Pace University Gerontechnology Research Team. He received his Ph.D. in clinical psychology with a specialization in aging from the University of Southern California in 2002. His research interests include cultural aspects of dementia caregiving, biopsychosocial stress response in older adults, and gerontechnology. In 2009, he opened a computer lab for older adults called The Brain Emporium. The Brain Emporium is one of the first ‘senior brain gyms’ in the U.S. and serves as both a community resource and a data gathering entity.
